The Sacred Music Chorale of Richmond Hill is a non-profit organization established in 1998. It is comprised of volunteer singers and non-singers drawn from Queens NY and surrounding areas. The Chorale is governed by a Board of Directors responsible for the management of the Corporation.
Why not join us? Membership is open to all members of the community regardless of age, sex, race, religious affiliation or national origin who concur with the aims and goals of the SMC. You can join the Sacred Music Chorale of Richmond Hill not only as a singer, but also as a sponsor, friend or patron. New singers are welcome in all voice types. Although there is no audition and an ability to read music is not a prerequisite, new members will be given a voice placement test and should be able to match and sustain a tone at a minimum. Rehearsals are held on Saturday mornings from 10 am - 12 noon for 10 - 12 weeks prior to each performance date at historic St. John's Lutheran Church at 86-20 114th Street in Richmond Hill, NY 11418. Singing members are required to attend a minimum of one-half of the rehearsals to participate in the related performance. To make a secure donation to the SMC over the internet, please click here. |
